VIROQUA (WKOW) -- A Viroqua man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for distributing child pornography.
36-year-old Jeremy Hogenkamp pleaded guilty to the crime on Sept. 25.
During an investigation, agents found computers and electronic storage media containing child pornography.
At the time, Hogenkamp was facing La Crosse County charges for possession of child pornography.
He declined to have the federal case resolved in connection with these state charges and he was sentenced in La Crosse County to four months in jail and ten years probation for possession of child pornography charges.
He has completed serving that jail sentence.
The charges against Hogenkamp were the result of parallel investigations conducted by the Federal Bureau Investigation and the Toronto Police Department in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
