Army and Navy met on the football field again today for their annual end-of-the-season contest, and some local veterans met for a watch party to enjoy the game together at the Madison VA hospital.
All veterans, their families and VA employees were welcome.
While the Army-Navy game always promotes healthy competition among these veterans, some believe any get together brings comradery.
"The opportunity to be able to get together and have that presence, rekindle those experiences you have in the service," said Mark Rammelsberg, a Navy veteran and VA hospital employee. "So it's a lot of fun to do this."
Navy won Saturday's game in a very competitive contest, scoring a touchdown in the fourth quarter to prevail 17-13.
