UPDATE: Madison Metro stops service second day in a row

MADISON (WKOW) -- Due to safety issues related to blowing snow and ice, Madison Metro has canceled service for Friday, December 21.

According to the Metro Transit website, service will resume at the start of the day Saturday, December 22.

The buses did not run at all Thursday.

If you have an emergency and have to get somewhere, several area cab companies are still traveling today.

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison officials say, as of 6:20 p.m., a decision has not yet been made on whether to run Metro buses on Friday.

They had previously said a decision would be made by 6:00 p.m.

According to the city's web site, they continue to monitor weather conditions.

It says all scenarios are being considered, from operating regularly scheduled service, to delaying the start of service, or canceling service altogether on Friday.
