Snow emergency towing plan announced


MADISON (WKOW) -- The City of Madison will be ticketing and towing vehicles on selected streets in the downtown area of the city on Friday evening.

The City of Madison said towing is necessary to get streets plowed to the curb so emergency vehicles and snow plows can get through.

To avoid a ticket or tow, you should park on the even house numbers side of the street on Friday night.

Cars parked illegally on the following streets will be towed at 1:00 a.m. on Saturday.

West Doty St.
West Main St.
West Washington Ave.

10-200 W. Gilman St.
East Mifflin St.
North Hamilton St.
West Mifflin St.
North Hancock St.
South Hancock St.
North Franklin St.

South Franklin St.
North Blair St.
East Johnson St. (Blair - Baldwin)
300 S. Henry St.
300 S. Hamilton St.
North Bedford St.

Wisconsin Ave. (200, 300 and 500)
South Bedford St.
North Henry St.
North Carroll St. (300,400 and 500)
East Dayton St.
