
MADISON (WKOW) -- Heroin-related deaths are up this year, according to reporting by the Wisconsin State Journal newspaper.
The newspaper reports Dane County's medical examiner as confirming there have been 21 heroin-related deaths in the county this year, and that the number could increase pending some outstanding toxicology tests.
There were 20 heroin deaths in Dane County last year.
