Special holiday reunion

WAUSAU (WKOW) -- A Wisconsin has been reunited with he lost dog two days before Christmas.

Linda Fischer picked up her new show dog, Queen, on Friday, but lost her the same day at Chicago's O'Hare Airport.

After searching for hours, Fischer went home to Wausau, but dedicated law enforcement officers in Chicago kept searching and eventually found the dog.

"It meant the world to me. People that didn't know me and they were just so giving, you know," Fischer said.

And Sunday, Fischer's nephew brought Queen to her new home in Wausau.

Airport officials say the dog's feet were hurt from being outside and that she was dehydrated.

Fischer says Queen's already on the way to recovery and getting settled into her new home.
