
MADISON (WKOW) -- Wednesday starts the first day of Kwanzaa.
Kwanzaa is a seven-day festival celebrated by millions throughout the world. Marked by the colors of the Bendera, or African flag, it's a week meant for honoring the African-American culture and heritage.
Kwanzaa brings families and communities together to celebrate accomplishments during the year. The celebration includes eating, drinking, dancing and gift giving.
