Badger fans leave for Pasadena

MADISON (WKOW) -- A group of Badger fans left for Pasadena Saturday morning-- they boarded two Wisconsin Alumni Association charter flights.

The group going on the Badger Bowl Tour includes about 700 excited fans.

"Some people started getting here [the Dane County Regional Airport] at like 6 a.m., so they must be really exited," says president of WAA, Paula Bonner. "They didn't need to get here that early, but it shows they're eager to get out maybe to some sunshine in Los Angeles. That wouldn't be too bad."

The Alumni Association expects at least 10-thousand fans at the Badger Huddle before the game, on January 1st.

Bonner says interest in the trip peaked after Athletic Director Barry Alvarez announced he would return to the sidelines, to coach the game.
