MADISON (WKOW) -- Dane County authorities will crack down on drunk drivers New Year's Eve, but there's a way you can get home safe for free.

The Dane County Tavern League has a safe ride program. Or you can get free rides on Madison Metro buses.

The free Metro rides are part of the Miller Lite Free Rides program offered in Madison, Milwaukee, Waukesha and Green Bay. Free rides are available on 20 Metro Transit routes starting at 7:00 p.m. and running until 4:00 a.m. New Year's Day.

You can call 1-800-FREE-RIDES or visit this website for more information.
