
LYONS (WKOW) -- Shortly before 8:00 New Year's Day morning, the Walworth County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of a car crashed into a tree.
The accident happened in the Town of Lyons, near Sheridan Springs and Back Roads.
When deputies arrived on scene, two females were trapped inside the vehicle. Both had multiple lower leg injuries.
The women were extricated and flown via Flight for Life helicopters to Milwaukee-area hospitals. Their current conditions are unknown at this time.
The driver, 19-year-old Danielle Curley of rural Burlington, WI. The 17-year-old juvenile passenger is not being named at this time.
The crash remains under investigation.
