UW-Madison ranked among nation's best values

MADISON (WKOW) -- Once again, the University of Wisconsin-Madison ranks near the top of the charts among the nation's best values.

Kiplinger's Personal Finance ranks UW 13th among the 100 best values for public colleges.

The rankings are based on things like the cost of tuition, admission rates and four-year graduation rates.

UW was ranked 13th in 2012 and 14th in 2011.

The only other UW school to make the list was UW-La Crosse, which came in at number 73.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill came in at the top of this year's list.
