VERONA (WKOW) -- Funeral services for 26-year-old Cassandra Clark were held Saturday in her hometown of Verona, according to the obituaries listed on the Ryan Funeral Home web site. The obituary also says Clark was buried Saturday at Verona Cemetery.
Clark was found dead in an Austin, Texas apartment building last Sunday.
Police have since arrested a suspect in her murder, 27-year-old Ryan Clarke, who Clark was reportedly dating.
Cassandra Clark graduated from Verona High School in 2004.
AUSTIN, TX (WKOW) -- A Verona native was found murdered in an apartment in Austin, Texas.
26-year-old Cassandra Clark was found dead Sunday, December 30. Police say they found her with obvious trauma to her body.
Officers were responding to a check welfare call made by the man authorities believe is responsible for Clark's death, Ryan Clarke. Authorities say he faces a murder charge.
According to her obituary, Cassandra Clark was born in Madison and graduated from Verona High School in 2004. Clark then graduated Cum Laude from Edgewood College in 2008 with a degree in Clinical Psychology and Spanish.
Clark was working in Austin as a financial aid officer with the MBA program for the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 5 at 1 p.m. at the Ryan Funeral Home at 220 Enterprise Drive. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Verona Cemetery.
