BELOIT (WKOW) -- A 37-year old Beloit man was arrested and booked into the Rock County jail Wednesday after an armed stand-off with police.
According to a statement released by the Beloit Police Department, a call came in shortly before 2 p.m. of a man with a handgun in someone else's home.
Police say the caller told them he had left the house and that the gunman, whom he identified as David Hanna, was the only one inside the house in the 1700 block of Pine St.
Police called in the Tactical and SWAT Teams, surrounded the house and tried to communicate with Hanna, with no success, for more than two hours, they said.
According to the police statement, as officers were making their approach to the residence, Hanna exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident.
Police say a 9 mm handgun was recovered following a search of the residence.
David J. Hanna, was booked on charges of Disorderly Conduct while Armed, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Failure to Comply with Law Enforcement.
Hanna is being held in custody at the Rock County Jail.
