CEDARBURG (WKOW)--The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department has identified the body found Friday morning in Cedar Creek in the city of Cedarburg.
The body is that of 24-year-old Robert Steinbrecker who has been reported as missing. He was last seen running on the ice coating the creek on December 27th. Officials started searching the creek Friday morning after a resident reported seeing a hat in the stream.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Steinbrecker was wearing a Green Bay Packers hat, a heavy dark green parka, blue T-shirt, brown pants and black tennis shoes the last time he was seen. The sheriff's department says the hat they recovered matches the description of the one Steinbrecker was wearing.

The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department says they have not positively identified the body, but there are "indications" it is Robert Steinbrecker, who has been missing since December 27.
The dive team from Cedarburg Fire Department was searching most of the day after a report someone saw something in the partially frozen water.
WISN reports an auger was being used to cut holes in the ice to lower a camera into the water. Dogs were also brought in to help.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department received a call stating there was something in the water.
Robert Steinbrecker, 24, was last seen running on the ice of Cedar Creek in the early morning hours of December 27.
Steinbrecker was last seen wearing a green and gold knit Green Bay Packers hat, a dark green parka, a blue T-shirt, brown pants, and black tennis shoes with white trim around the sole.
