MADISON (WKOW) -- Police in Madison are investigating the robbery at a credit union on the city's east side.

Officers say the suspect hit the Summit Credit Union at 1799 Thierer Rd. around 9:20 a.m. Friday. Police say the man, wearing a Bucky Badger hat, displayed a note to a teller that indicated he had a gun, but no weapon was seen. Police say the man got the money and fled on foot.

Here's the description of the suspect as posted in the MPD incident report:

Male, white, 40-45 years old, 5'10" to 5'11", average to heavy build, larger nose, wearing large square-framed prescription glasses, tan or brown hip-length jacket over a gray sweatshirt with red lettering on front, blue jeans with short legs making white socks visible, gray hiking type shoes, and a Bucky Badger winter hat with pompons at the end of two strings.
