Two arrested for stealing purse at Janesville grocery store

JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Police arrested two people they say stole a purse from someone at a grocery store.

The theft happened at Sentry Foods on E. Milwaukee St. around 6:20 p.m. Thursday.

Police later tracked the suspects to the dead end of Somerset Court. When officers confronted the two, one of the suspects took off running. Police took the other suspect, 20-year-old Marco Cabrera of Janesville, into custody without any incident.

A K9 officer led police to the other suspect, a 16-year-old boy. Police say the dog tracked the boy to an apartment, where he was found hiding inside a closet.
