Early morning vehicle rollover leads to OWI arrest


TOWN OF NEW GLARUS (WKOW) -- Green County Deputies and authorities from the New Glarus Police, Fire and EMS responded to a one vehicle rollover around 3 a.m. Monday.

The vehicle was found overturned in the W4900 block of Airport Road in the Town of New Glarus.

Investigation revealed that 42-year-old Kelly Hisel was headed east when she failed to negotiate a sharp curve, and traveled down an embankment causing the vehicle to overturn. The vehicle came to rest on its roof and sustained very severe damage with no airbag deployment. It was towed from the scene.

Hisel was transported to UW Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. It is unknown of Hisel was wearing a seatbelt.

Hisel was arrested for first offense operating while under the influence and cited for failure to keep her vehicle under control. She was released pending court.
