MADISON (WKOW) -- The man police say planned to use what he called "Molotov cocktails" at the Capitol building faces five tentative criminal charges.
Kvon Smith, 21, was arrested January 15 inside the Capitol after making threats on Facebook. He was wearing a backpack carrying what Madison fire officials determined were two bottles of rubbing alcohol, one bottle of what appeared to be motor oil, and one bottle of chalk in some type of solution.
The Dane County District Attorney's office says a criminal complaint is expected to be filed with the circuit clerk's office as early as Tuesday. The charges in the complaint are carrying a concealed weapon, attempt to possess a Molotov cocktail, disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping.
District Attorney Ismael Ozanne says Smith has not been formally charged yet and the charges in the criminal complaint are subject to change.
