DeForest woman seriously hurt in two-vehicle crash

TOWN OF VIENNA (WKOW) -- Officers say a 77-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash Monday.

The Dane County Sheriff's Department says deputies were called to the intersection of CTH I and Hahn Road in the town of Vienna just after 6 p.m. Monday. Investigators say they believe Marie Lerum of DeForest turned southbound onto CTH I into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

Lerum was taken to UW Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle was not hurt.

At this point, officers say no citations have been issued.
