SHEBOYGAN (WKOW) -- Newton, Iowa police say a missing man has been found in Sheboygan.
Junior Fowble went missing after police say he was following an ambulance transporting his wife to the hospital. Junior was spotted in Madison and Janesville Wednesday.
Police say he was found in Sheboygan later Wednesday and appeared to be okay. His daughter was heading to Wisconsin to pick him up.
Police say Fowble has dementia and may have gotten lost.
MADISON (WKOW) -- Junior Fowble, of Newton, Iowa, was following an ambulance which was transporting his wife to the hospital Tuesday evening.
Mr. Fowble, 82, never showed up at the hospital.
Madison police had assisted Mr. Fowble shortly after 8:00 Wednesday morning as he had run out of gas.
Junior has no reason to be in Madison, or Wisconsin.
Mr. Fowble has dementia and does not have his medicine with him.
He may be driving a 2003 red Chevy S-10 with Iowa plates AAT473. The vehicle also has a sticker which says "I Love Papillions".
MADISON (WKOW) -- Last contact with 82-year-old Junior Fowble, of Newton, Iowa, was early Wednesday morning near the intersection of Highways 12 and 18.
Newton police tell 27 News Mr. Fowble's wife went to the hospital around 12:30 Wednesday morning and he was headed there to meet up with her. He never showed up.
Police say Mr. Fowble's vehicle plate had been run by Dane County. They believe he may have run out of gas and was assisted.
Newton police say the deputy in Dane County who assisted may have had his computer system in his car down, therefore he did not realize Mr. Fowble was listed as missing.
A short time later, Dane County notified Newton saying they had run Mr. Fowble's license and discovered the missing person alert.
Mr. Fowble is described as having dementia. He is 5'8" and 190 pounds. He has brown eyes and is bald. He may be driving a 2003 red Chevy S-10.
Elise Schaffer with the Dane County Sheriff's Office says if anyone sees Mr. Fowble, they should call 911.
