Toddler found wandering alone early Monday morning

RACINE (WKOW) -- A toddler is in the hospital after he was found wandering alone outside in Racine.

WISN-TV reports sheriff's deputies got a call early Monday who found the boy around 4:00 a.m. He is about two or three years old and was wearing long-sleeved clothes and pants.

There wasn't an adult around the boy, so medics took him to a hospital to make sure he was okay.

Deputies found the boy's mother around 4:45 a.m. and brought her to the hospital. Investigators say it appears to be an accident.
