MADISON (WKOW) -- Here is a list of weather-related cancellations or snow emergencies:
Baraboo: St. Paul's Lutheran Church - All services and youth classes canceled.
Beloit: People's Church -- Wednesday night activities canceled
Black Earth: New Heights Lutheran - All Family Faith Night canceled.
Columbia County: Columbia County senior meals program is closed Wednesday.
Columbus: The City of Columbus is under a snow emergency. No vehicles should be parked on any city street in Columbus.
Madison: A Step Above Dance/Music Academy - Classes canceled.
Bethesda Christian Fellowship Family Night - canceled tonight
East Madison Baptist Church - Awana canceled tonight.
St. James Catholic School - Open House canceled tonight.
McFarland: The Village of McFarland has issued a snow emergency from Wednesday, January 30 at noon to Thursday, January 31 at 8:00 a.m.
No vehicles are allowed to be parked on any village street during the declared snow emergency. Alternate parking is available in the Municipal Center parking lot, McFarland Public Library parking lot and the parking lot located at Exchange Street and Farwell Street.
SPECIAL NOTE: Vehicles will be allowed to park adjacent to school campus buildings as usual during this time period.
Oregon: Holy Mother of Consolation Church -- All Wednesday Faith Formation classes (afternoon and evening) are canceled
Portage: In the Central Business District, parking is prohibited from 10:00pm Wednesday to 7:00am Thursday. Beginning at 2:00am Thursday, parking is prohibited on all signed snow routes. Beginning at 4:00am Thursday, parking is prohibited on all other streets, except the Central Business District.
Vehicles not complying with these parking regulations are subject to a fine. These vehicles will be towed and the owner will be responsible for any associated charges.
The Snow Emergency will remain in effect for 48 hours or until it is canceled by the Street Superintendent. You can keep updated by calling the 24 hour Snow Emergency "Hotline" at 742-2176 Ext. 335.
Stoughton: First Lutheran Church - PM activities canceled.
Sun Prairie: The City of Sun Prairie is declaring a Snow Emergency beginning at noon on Wednesday, January 30 and ending at 7 a.m. on Thursday, January 31. A Snow Emergency means that there is no parking on any City street until the Snow Emergency has been canceled. Vehicles parked on the street in violation of this ordinance can be ticketed ($50 fine) and may be towed.
