OSHKOSH (WKOW) -- Upcoming layoffs at Oshkosh Corporation won't be quite as bad as expected.
300 employees will be laid off on Friday.
Company leaders said back in October that 450 people would be let go.
The local workers union says 150 jobs that were previously outsourced should be coming back to the factory.
The cuts are due to a drop in U.S. defense spending and the company receiving fewer military contracts.
