Sun Prairie co-op outlasts Stoughton co-op in girls hockey

WAUNAKEE, Wis. (WKOW) -- The Stoughton co-op girls hockey team fought hard to get a piece of the Badger Conference title, but the Sun Prairie co-op came away with the overtime win, 2-1 on Tuesday night.

The Cap City Cougars (Sun Prairie) led 1-0 until the second period, when Stoughton's Shanda Roeming fought her way through the defense to score and tie the game at 1.

The Cougars had plenty of scoring chances, but Stoughton's Kenzie Torpy made a few brilliants saves to keep it tied through three periods.

In overtime, Lily Klapper scored the game-winner for Sun Prairie, who won 2-1.
