GREEN LAKE (WKOW) -- Authorities believe the victim of a fatal house fire in Green Lake County is the homeowner.
Police say the 66-year-old woman who lived alone has yet to be found, though the remains still haven't not been positively identified.
Firefighters responded to the house fire early Tuesday morning in the Township of Princeton. WLUK-TV reports an autopsy found that the victim had died of fire and heat related causes. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
TOWNSHIP OF PRINCETON (WKOW) -- Authorities in Green Lake County are investigating after a body was found in a burning home.
They were called to a home on Judy Lane in the Township of Princeton around 4 Tuesday morning.
Firefighters found the body as they were putting out the flames.
The body was taken to the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
Authorities say they aren't sure if the body is that of the home owner, but the home owner hasn't been located.
The fire is under investigation by the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office, Wisconsin State Fire Marshall's Office, Green Lake County Coroner's Office and the Princeton Fire Department.
