DANE COUNTY (WKOW) -- Police officers have identified the cause of a school bus crash from early Thursday morning. They say, icy roads caused a Belleville School District bus to slide-off More head Road at Highway 69. Again, officials confirm that all 19 children on board were safe.
Dane County Sheriff's deputies say, the driver was approaching a stop sign at low speed when the glare ice caused the bus to slide off the road. The bus came to rest against a large tree that kept the bus from turning over in the ditch. The children ranged in age, and only one child reported a minor injury. Another bus responded to the scene to pick up the children and take them to school. No citations will be issued.
