MADISON (WKOW) -- Dane County Executive Joe Parisi announced a new program to provide transportation to local disabled veterans.
The county will provide transit passes through the Dane County Veterans Service Office.
"The main effort, the main focus of the county vet's service is connecting people to these services. So if you don't have a way to get there, it makes it a challenge. So this is just one more thing we can do to help our vets." Parisi said Thursday.
Transit passes will go to recipients of VA disability compensation.
