MADISON (WKOW) -- For the first year ever, the Girl Scouts of America are holding their new National Girl Scout Cookie Day! If you have a sweet tooth or you just love Girl Scout cookies, you should head over to a booth sale!
Badgerland Council is celebrating National Girl Scout Cookie Day with these sale locations all over the Badgerland Council community. Spots include Campus Mall outside Fresh Market on University Avenue Friday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Cookies are $3.75 per package. You can also stop by our Madison and Beloit Service Centers all day to purchase cookies.
Scout Claire Hacker stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the cookie sale. Hacker is one of the Girl Scouts' "top sellers." She actually sold 1008 boxes of cookies, and she' only a junior at Monona Grove High School! The Girl Scout Ambassador has been in Girl Scouts since second grade when she started selling cookies as a Brownie! Money raised from the sale is going toward a trip to Europe in June.
