MADISON (WKOW) -- A group of more than a dozen quilters from the Dane County area made quilts for each bedroom at Porchlight's new Safe Haven facility.
The facility houses more than a dozen homeless men and women living with mental illness.
"This is for the new residents there, to say, 'Welcome.' And its also a Valentines gift to let them know there are people in the community supporting them, even though they've never met them, they wish them all the success in their road to recovery," said Porchlight Development Director Beatrice Hadidian
Safe Haven also provides long-term affordable housing apartments for the disabled.
