Woman dead in crash on icy road

TOWN OF JACKSON (WKOW) -- A woman is dead after a weekend car accident in Adams County.

The sheriff's office got the call around 11:45 a.m. Sunday to State Trunk Highway 82 just east of 2nd Avenue in the Town of Jackson. They say a vehicle driven by Cerissa Hart, 26, of Oxford, lost control and crossed the center line. Deputies say the road was icy. Hart's vehicle hit a semi truck and trailer head on. She was ejected and later pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies say she was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash is still under investigation.
