MADISON -- After leading Wisconsin to a pair of overtime wins this past week, including a buzzer-beating 3-point shot to force overtime against No. 3 Michigan, junior Ben Brust earned the Big Ten's Co-Player of the Week award, the conference announced on Monday.

The Hawthorn Woods, Ill., native scored 14 points and sank the eventual game-winning 3-pointer in overtime to lead the Badgers to their second win over an AP Top-3 team this season. Earlier in the week, Brust netted a game-high 18 points in a double-overtime win against Iowa, adding six boards in 45 minutes of action.

This is Brust's first career player of the week honor, and UW's first since Jordan Taylor (1/23/12).

Brust is averaging 11.2 points per contest this season while averaging a team-best 10.5 points per game during Big Ten play. The junior is also leading the Badgers in assists (63), assist-to-turnover ratio (2.17) charges taken (8) and is tied for the team lead in steals (24).

Brust ranks seventh in the conference in 3-point field goals made (52) and eighth in 3-point field goal percentage (.400).

Brust shares the player of the week honor with Illinois' D.J. Richardson, who averaged 18.0 points per game in wins over No. 1 Indiana and No. 18 Minnesota.
