MADISON (WKOW) -- The state high school boys basketball tournament is just a few weeks away and officials in Madison say they've made some changes to make the experience even better for fans.

For the first time, you'll be able to buy tickets online. Deb Archer with the Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau says multi-session tickets are already available. She says single-game tickets will be available beginning February 21.

There's also another first this year -- Union South will serve as "Fan Central." Archer says it will be the gathering spot for fans and athletes, where they can find games, food and special coverage of and information about the basketball tournament.

The welcome package also includes:

  • Special UW-VIP campus tours for WIAA fans
  • Fanfare offers from many participating hotels, restaurants and attractions
  • New WIAA "Championship Capital" logo
  • Discounted parking in City of Madison and UW parking lots
  • Shuttle transportation options from key points in Madison

The 2013 State Tournament is March 7-9 at the Kohl Center.
