MADISON (WKOW) -- A UW-Milwaukee student has been named Miss Madison 2013.
Paula Mae Kuiper, 19, was chosen among 11 other contestants at this year's Miss Madison competition on Sunday at the Madison East Side Club. Kuiper is from Mount Pleasant in Racine County.
Kuiper is a biological sciences and nursing student at UW-M, where she is also a member of the school's track and field team.
Kuiper was named Miss Racine last year. She will now advance to the 2013 Miss Wisconsin pageant on June 22 in Oshkosh. The new Miss Wisconsin advances to the 2013 Miss America pageant this September in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
