MADISON (WKOW) Parents of some students with disabilities will rally at the Capitol Monday and deliver the message that they want Governor Scott Walker to keep special needs vouchers for disabled students out of his budget, the details of which are scheduled to be released on February 20.
The group says the vouchers could harm their children who are in public schools by draining state funding from public school districts.
They also feel those who use the vouchers would lose essential rights in private schools where basic safety protections are not in place and quality of education is not guaranteed.
The rally will be inside the State Capitol, in room 330 SW, starting at 2:30 p.m.
