WI dog wins best in breed at Westminster

Posted:

OCONTO FALLS (WKOW) -- A Wisconsin dog took home a big prize at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show this week.

A Tibetan terrier who lives with his family in Oconto Falls won best in breed. 5-year-old Reese was runner up in the breed competition last year.

To prepare for judging, his owner Nikkie Kinziger gave Reese an all-star treatment including rest, a pedicure and an oil change.

"Once a week he gets an oil change," says Kinziger. "It's kinda like a VO5 hot oil treatment we do on our own hair."

Westminster judges look at certain features in their best in breed dogs; like hair, bone structure, teeth, weight and walk.
