Madison woman arrested for attempted homicide

MADISON (WKOW) -- A 44-year-old Madison woman accused of stabbing her domestic partner last November was arrested Tuesday night.

Madison Police say Kellie McCoy was arrested for attempted first degree homicide for a domestic related stabbing at a home on Springview Court in Madison.

Officials say McCoy's 56-year-old domestic partner went to a local hospital with a puncture wound to his chest on November 20, 2012. They say the man initially said he had fallen on a knife while cooking in his kitchen. He later told investigators McCoy stabbed him.

No more information is being released at this time.
