
MADISON (WKOW) -- Public Policy Polling(PPP) released the results of a surveys Friday that shows public opposition to the provisions of the Open-Pit Mining Bill currently being considered by the Wisconsin Legislature at 62%.
Only 29% of Wisconsin voters surveyed approve of the provisions in the bill, meaning those surveyed oppose the bill by a 33% margin. PPP says that opposition is up 20 percentage points compared to a survey conducted last year.
