MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The national gun control debate hit the streets of Milwaukee when dozens of gun-rights supporters rallied for what they were calling "day of resistance" on Saturday.
Organizers say rallies were planned around the country today in response to what they see as a threat from lawmakers in Washington D.C. to take away their gun rights.
"The 2nd amendment is the part of the constitution that protects all the rest of them. If you don't have the 2nd amendment, then the government can run rough shod over everything else," said Milwaukee rally organizer Cynthia Ratz
The event was peaceful and lasted about thirty minutes.
