
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Tyler Barnes scored four points and Joel Rumpel had 22 saves as Wisconsin shut out Penn State 5-0 in men's college hockey Sunday.
Barnes had a goal and three assists for the Badgers (14-10-7).
John Ramage, Michael Mersch, Nic Kerdiles and Brendan Woods also had goals for Wisconsin, which was 2-for-7 on the power play.
Ten different Wisconsin players had at least one point.
The Badgers outshot the Nittany Lions 51-22.
P.J. Musico had 46 saves for the Lions (12-14-0). He had 20 saves in each of the last two periods.
This was the first game between the Badgers and Lions, who are completing their first season in NCAA Division I. Both will join the newly created Big Ten next season.
