MADISON (WKOW) -- A 19-year old woman was mugged near the intersection of N. Henry and Langdon Streets Saturday night.
Shortly before 11:30 p.m. the victim and friends walked past another group of people. The victim had just finished texting her father and returned her cell to a pocket.
Seconds later, the woman from the other group knocked the victim to the ground, punching her in the head. She then grabbed the young woman's cell phone and ran.
The victim gave chase and tracked the robber down. With the help of friends, she got the cell phone back. All went their separate ways; police were called approximately 30 minutes later.
One witness thought the robber may have been acting on a dare from the young men with whom she was hanging out.
