Construction crews hit gas main in Sun Prairie

SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- Sun Prairie Police and Fire Departments were called to Walmart on McCoy Road around 11:30 Tuesday morning, for the report of a gas main break.

Construction workers at Walmart struck a gas main, causing the business to temporarily shut down and evacuate.

Roadways and intersections near the scene were closed and traffic was diverted.

We-Energies and fire crews were able to secure the main without any further issues.  Business was back to normal within 30 minutes.
