Camera equipment stolen from parked car

MADISON (WKOW) -- An estimated $30,000 worth of high-end camera gear was stolen from a parked car this past weekend.

The 58-year-old victim called police Sunday morning to report the thievery.  The man stated he typically does not leave equipment in his car overnight, but was sidetracked.  The vehicle was parked in his driveway on Sachtjen Street.

No signs of forced entry were found.  A neighbor also reported someone had rifled through the interior of her car and change was taken from the ashtray.
