BELOIT (WKOW) -- Early Wednesday evening, Beloit Police officers responded to the Walgreen's Pharmacy, on Madison Road, for an attempted theft.
A white male suspected entered the store and presented a note to an employee, requesting a quantity of oxycontin and oxycodone. The employee then notified the pharmacist, who called police.
While the pharmacist was on the phone, the suspect left the store without obtaining any medication.
The suspect, who was wearing a forest green parka with the hood pulled up tight, fled in a dark colored, full size pickup truck with a silver tool box in the bed.
No weapons were displayed and there were no physical injuries. The description and suspect's actions are very similar to other thefts/robberies that have occurred recently at Madison area and Janesville Walgreen's.
