
MADISON (WKOW) -- Police say they believe a man who tried to rob a pharmacy Thursday night may be part of a bigger crime spree.
Officers say the suspect tried to get oxycontin from the Walgreen's at 4518 Cottage Grove Road around 6 p.m. When the clerk refused, police say the man fled on foot. Police say no weapon was seen.
Investigators say they believe the man has been involved in a series of pharmacy robberies through southern Wisconsin.
Here's the description given by police: M/W 20's-30's, 5'11" "chubby" build, moustache, blue/black jacket with hood pulled up and dirty jeans.
