BROOKFIELD (WKOW) -- Dozens of officers who responded to an October shooting at a salon in Brookfield were honored for their efforts.
25 officers from six different departments received awards from the Brookfield Police Department.
They were able to rescue 19 people from the salon.
"It's an honor to know that you were actually able to help somebody," said honoree Michael Doud, a deputy with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department. "It's what we say when we all start the job, that we do it because we want to help somebody, and it's nice to know that you were actually able to."
Authorities Radcliffe Haughton shot and killed three people in the salon, including his estranged wife, before killing himself.
