Salon shooter asked advice from taxi driver - WKOW 27: Madison, WI Breaking News, Weather and Sports

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The man who shot seven people at a Brookfield Salon, before killing himself, asked advice from a taxi driver.

In documents released Friday by the Brookfield Police Department, Radcliffe Haughton asked the taxi driver, on the way to the salon, for advice on how to handle his wife.

Haughton shot and killed his estranged wife, Zina, and two other women at the Azana Salon and Spa October 21 before turning the gun on himself.  Four others were wounded in the shooting.

Police interviewed the taxi driver who drove Haughton to the salon.  That driver told police Haughton said he was having problems with his wife, purchased a gun and then asked the driver what he would do.  His response was to do nothing because it "wasn't worth it."
