Meals on Wheels kicks off March campaign

MADISON (WKOW) -- As we kick off the month, Meals on Wheels kicks off its national campaign; March for Meals.

The goal is to raise awareness of senior hunger.

Meals on Wheels in Dane County delivers nutritious meals to elderly and disabled individuals who are unable to shop or cook meals for themselves.

But it's also a way for the recipients to socialize and for the volunteers to keep an eye on them.

The program relies on volunteers to deliver the meals and they're always looking for people to help out.
