Justice Roggensack removes endorsement from web site

Posted:

MADISON (WKOW) -- Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Pat Roggensack incorrectly listed a reserve judge as one of her endorsers.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Roggensack adviser Brandon Scholz as saying Robert Kinney's name was listed in error, and that his endorsement was removed from the justice's web site by Saturday.

The newspaper also reports this is the second time Roggensack has listed an endorsement she did not actually receive.

Kinney emailed Roggensack last week to object to his name being listed among her endorsers, saying he disagreed with her on virtually every 4-3 decision from the court.

She wrote back to say he was listed by mistake and his name would be taken down, and Kinney says he's satisfied.

Roggensack is up for re-election, facing Marquette University law professor Ed Fallone in the April 2 general election. The winner will serve a 10-year term.
