City of Madison declares snow emergency


City of Madison

     Madison residents are asked to remove all vehicles from the street if possible. Residents who must park on the street this evening should park on the EVENhouse numbered side of the street. Vehiclesparked on the street Wednesday evening March 6th should be parked on the ODDhouse numbered side of the street. Violations of the alternate side parking rules are punishable by a fine of $60 throughout the entire City of Madison. Violators could also be towed.     
     The Snow Emergency will remain in effect until at least 7 a.m. on Thursday March 7th.
     Residents are reminded that all daytime parking restrictions will be enforced.  That includes restrictions which ban parking on selected blocks in the Downtown/Isthmus area and on the near east and near west sides. Parkers should pay attention to all parking signs.
     Parking is available in the cashiered sections of city-owned ramps in the downtown area. During a declared Snow Emergency you can park for no charge at the City ramps from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m. If you enter before 9 p.m. or leave after 7 a.m. you are liable for any parking charges before 9 p.m. and from 7 a.m. until the time you leave.
     When parking in the ramps overnight, do not park on the top level so this area can be plowed. Be aware that vehicles stored in city ramps longer than 48 hours are subject to being ticketed and towed. Meters in lots and ramps are enforced 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
      Parking is also available at the Brittingham Park Shelter parking lot off of W. Washington AV.

City of Beloit

Snow emergency takes effect at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5 and remains in effect until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6. During the Snow emergency the parking of any vehicle on a City street is prohibited.

City of Boscobel

Snow emergency takes effect at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5 and remains in effect until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6.  While the snow emergency is in effect, vehicle parking is not allowed on either side of public streets.

City of Portage

Snow emergency beginning at 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, parking is prohibited on all signed snow routes. At 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5 parking is prohibited on all other streets, excepting the Central Business District.

In the Central Business District, parking is prohibited from 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5 until 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 6.

Village of Barneveld

The Village of Barneveld has declared a Snow Emergency beginning at Midnight on Monday, March 4 and remains in effect for 48 hours.

City of Sun Prairie

The City of Sun Prairie is declaring a Snow Emergency beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5 and ending at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6. A Snow Emergency means that there is no parking on any city street until it has ended. Vehicles parked on the street in violation of this ordinance can be ticketed ($50 fine) and may be towed.
City of Adams

The City of Adams has declared a SNOW EMERGENCY beginning 12:00 am Tuesday, march 5, 2013 through 6:00 PM Wednesday march 6, 2013.

During a SNOW EMERGENCY there is no parking on ANY CITY streets until the end of the emergency.  Your vehicle may be towed at your expense if it is on the street during this time. 

City of Stoughton

The City of Stoughton has declared a Snow Emergency. 
·         Please park off street if possible.
·         Parking will be even / odd.
·         Goes into effect at Midnight to 8 A.M. and remains in effect until three (3) consecutive Midnight to 8 AM periods have elapsed, or the emergency is canceled or extended.
City of Fort Atkinson
The City of Fort Atkinson is declaring a snow emergency.  The declaration shall take effect at 6:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 and remain in effect until 6:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 6th, 2013.
Village of Marshall
A snow emergency has been declared and will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5 until 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 6.  When a snow emergency has been declared, no street parking is allowed during the 48 hour declaration or until it has been canceled.
Village of McFarland

The Village of McFarland has issued a snow emergency from Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 at 12:00 noon to Wednesday, March 6th, 2013 at 4:00 PM.  Per Village Ordinance, Section 35-158(b), no vehicles are allowed to be parked on any Village street during the declared snow emergency. Alternate parking is available in the Municipal Center parking lot, McFarland Public Library parking lot and the parking lot located at Exchange Street and Farwell Street.

Town of Pleasant Prairie

Snow Emergency/Parking Restrictions in Effect; Parking prohibited from 6:00am, March 5 until 6:00am, March 8, 2013.

Village of Clinton

A snow emergency has been declared from 1:00p.m. Tuesday, March 5 until 1:00p.m. Wednesday, March 6.

During the snow emergency, no one shall cause or allow the parking or standing of any vehicle, trailer or semi trailer, except emergency vehicles, upon any village street.

City of Columbus

Snow Emergency starting at noon on Tuesday, March 5. No vehicle parked on any public street or alley until 12 hours after the emergency is declared or until the snow has been cleared from the streets by our Public Works Department.
