Wisconsin Film Festival expands to 8 days

Posted:

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Film Festival is adding days this year.

The festival will now include two weekends, instead of just one. It will run this year from April 11 through April 18.

Organizers say it's the largest campus-based film festival in the United States, averaging more than 100 films and up to 34,000 attendees each spring.

It's a project of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Arts Institute, with dozens of campus and community partners. It began in 1999.
